Communication between a Psion rugged mobile device and an enterprise system may include a combination of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, narrow band radio and wide area radio technologies such as GPRS and UMTS. Certain devices also include GPS positioning capability. They also provide multiple ways of entering data, such as keyboards, touch-screens, laser scanners, imagers, cameras, and radio frequency identification readers. For specific applications, fingerprint readers and magnetic stripe readers can be included.

Our handheld devices, such as the Workabout Pro™, are highly configurable through the use of a modular architecture, this allows us to provide customers with complete and customised solutions (including third party products, software and services), either directly or through our business partners.
